About
Toko (shop) Marcona (named after my great-grandmother), is a London-based interior styling studio and store retailing artisanal goods from Asia, particularly from the East and Southeast Asian region. My life long obsession with interiors and homewares has also fuelled my interest in the preservation of traditional design & craft inspiring me to create a platform that will showcase talented makers and designers from this part of the world.
Our inaugural collection features brands such as Yarnnakarn, Gaya Ceramics and Omah Bali. A heartfelt thank you for dropping by and I hope you will find something special for your home!
The Journey So Far
Born and raised in Singapore, I have built a versatile career as a creative professional, with a passion for both event design and interior styling. From early on, I’ve been drawn to transforming spaces — balancing aesthetics and functionality to create environments that feel both beautiful and purposeful.
My design journey began when I co-founded The Wonderment Collective in Singapore, where I served as co-Creative Director. I had the privilege of conceptualising and delivering bespoke events from intimate weddings to corporate gatherings, blending innovative design with meticulous attention to detail.
My work was featured in publications such as Tatler Singapore and The Business Times, which recognised my ability to craft memorable, meaningful experiences.
In 2019, I relocated to the UK and transitioned into interior styling, working on a variety of residential projects across London. From historic Grade II-listed buildings to sleek modern apartments, I’ve adapted my design approach to suit diverse architectural contexts.
I’m based in London where I live with my husband, our two young children and family cat. Outside of Marcona, you will find me hunting for vintage china or relaxing with a good book and favourite magazines!
